Greetings M'Lord and Ladies, Please excuse the mess . I should be moved in soon I hope. Until then let me introduce myself and the purpose of this page. I will begin by saying that I am a 40 year old divorced male. I live in the Dallas,Texas area and have for a good portion of my life. I have been interested in writing for many years. I had a few things published in local things while still in school which made the desire to write stronger. However, soon after school I got married and she thought the writing took time away from her so I had to backshelf my desires.
For years I looked for various ways to satisfiy my need to use the imagination but she would set up a roadblock. Then I discovered RPG and with the help of family and friends convinced her to try it. Since so many of my family and friends were involved she pretended to enjoy it and allowed me to have fun. Soon I was developing characters and profiles for myself and others.
I soon found that the characters where taking on a life of their own so I began writing the histories of the characters. Now that I am divorced I have more time to spend on developing and honing my stories. At the present time I am working on two very different books. That brings me to the purpose of this site.
I will be introducing characters to this site for you to get to know and interact with. Some will be fully developed and some will be still maturing. What I would like for you to do is read the character's profile and histories and let me know what you think. You can even email the character of your choice and he or she will answer. This will help me give each one a distint presonallity.
Another of my passions is making new friends so I hope you will take the time to write me and let us get to know each other. If you have a character you would like to have a profile written for email with a brief idea how you would like that person to be. Who knows maybe our characters might get together in one of my books.
Now I guess I should explain about the books:The first book is set in the middle ages with dragons,.wizards,warriors and the such. This is one of my favorite time periods so this is my baby. Like all parents I am having fun watching it mature. I am a long way from finished though. I still need more villians and working on some different plot lines. I am sure if you have written before you know what I am going through. The name that I have chosen as my User Name "Drogon" is one of the main characters. You will get to know him better later on.
Now on to the second book: This one takes place in the present time and will be more of a mystery/spy thriller type book. The zinger to this one is that the characters are descendants of the first book. Yes I do have another book in mind of having all the characters meet in a science fiction/ fantasy style.
I will be posting some of my works from early days to the present and would appreciate any feedback on them. Some will be poetry and others will be rough outlines for stories. Any ideas for short stories send and I will try to create one for you. This will help me get my created juices flowing. 15 years of not doing this has got my head kinda crowded ha ha.
